Finally starting my photography business

Over the past two years I have been taking pictures of seniors entering their final year of high school, my kids...tons of my kids, and just last fall started working with families. Although I went to college to become a teacher, which I love, taking pictures is where my "authentic" self comes out.

I have a lot of updating to do to make it look nice, however, check out my blog and let me know what you think.

pictures and more pictures

Taking pictures is my true passion. If I could make a living taking pictures of God's amazing world I would. Love this one of my two sweet kids and their sweet feet! Together for now but soon they will walk their own path.

Fun photo shoot..February 2009

I promised Payton 2 1/2 years ago that I would decorate her room extra special once we were all moved in...well I did a super quick job when we moved in and her room did not look very special, rather mirrored a last minute job. Because I LOVE interior design and change our house furniture around on a weekly basis (it's part of my OCD I am working on), I had to finish her room. Pate wanted a dance theme so instead of purchasing pictures of another child, I decided to make Payton her own dance outfit and take pictures of her instead. Caden came along for the ride and decided to take part in the photoshoot. He LOVED chasing Payton and later took a long nap from his exhaustion of running for 30 minutes!

Oh Caden!

Having a boy has really opened my eyes to pretty much everything, so I thought. Just last week we were enjoying a (sunny)day outside, the kids were laughing and having so much fun. Caden has been wanting to "shoot hoops" all winter long so finally he had the opportunity! I was off shooting pictures of Payton and her friends when I noticed the background noise of the basketball had stopped. Caden....his excuse was, "Mommy, I didn't want to stop playing and the trees were thirsty."

snow snow snow

We have had a blast this past week, sleeping in, well sort of sleeping in...I guess it is 3:30am and I am typing on my blog page!

It's amazing what you can get accomplished in a day when you get to stay home! My closets have never looked so good! I am actually tempted to take pictures of our office, my pantry, and soon our playroom! (this is why I am up at 3:30, it's a mess and I can't take it anymore.) I wonder if I am the only mom that can't stand clutter! It truly drives me nuts! I am thinking Goodwill or BUST today!!

Anyway, here are a few shots from our house over the past few days!

Love those BEAVS!

Could the Beavers make it to the Rose bowl? We have not been since the mid 60's. What a beautiful day for an OSU game! We had so much fun afterwards, celebrating our big win!

pumpkin patch

I love the Fall season almost as much as summer...almost! One of my favorite activities to do with my kids is going to the pumpkin patch. My first pumpkin patch trip ever was my first year of teaching 12 years ago! I have been hooked ever since. We had the pleasure of meeting up with our cousins from Mcminnville and enjoying the pumpkin rocket performance. Lots of fun, a beautiful day and a true appreciation for life!
